Persistent Lens Flare

So, I added lens flare to this sun type star that I am creating, flare looks awesome apart from the fact that the flare disappears if the distance from camera is greater then a certain distance. I would like the flare to be visible as long as the sun is visible. I have looked around on the web for a while but didn't find a solution. This question has been asked on this site before (Lens Flare disappears when far from camera), but there is no working solution.
