Recording just the Game tab of the Unity Editor

Question

I am wanting to record sample footage of my game in the Unity editor, but everything I have tried tends to record the whole screen.

Is there any free software that will give the option of "selecting" the game tab? I get the feeling Fraps has this option, but am always disappointed with the quality of Fraps.

You can use Microsoft Expression 4 Encoder (free version).

Lolio recorder and d3dgear have options to record active window. I'd start there. In this case, the entire editor might be captured, thus a beter route might be to crop the recorded video. Type from phone, sorry if spelling is wrecked.

Do you have any examples of software I could use to crop it down to just my game part? I've tried movavi but it stretches the crop to fit a standard aspect ratio.
