Question by KayaOcal · Aug 20, 2015 at 01:25 PM · c#filelostmetafiles

I lost codes that I've coded | Files stil exist, but codes are not exist

I just closed unity and when I open it, I realized that some of my c# files are not same. I lost all my codes coded in 1 month.

alt text

As you can see, Date modified section of some files are from 7th month and some of them are from 8th month. I edited all those scripts in this month.

I had this problem once before and I re-coded , but now I don't think if I can re-code same again because I lost work of 1 month

by the way I use Unity 5.1.2f1 (64-bit) version.

Please help me. Have a good day

Hello there,

Scripts are just text files. If the text is not inside them you can't preform any magic and get it back. If you do not have backups you are out of luck, your work is gone.

This is why you use source control when working on projects take a look at git, svn, perforce, or mercurial.

Cheers,
