Physics.Simulate overhead rise if too many static colliders

Hi guys, I'm developing a mobile game. I test some scene in android, and find the Physics.Simulate cost in profiler rises much if there are a lot more static colliders. The roughly approximate information is as following: //////////////////////////////////////// case 1: static collider: 70+, rigidbody: < 4, Physics.Simulate(normal): 0.3ms, Physics.Simulate(spiking): 10ms.

//////////////////////////////////////// case 2: static collider: 340+, rigidbody: < 4, Physics.Simulate(normal): 3.0+ms, Physics.Simulate(spiking): 20.0ms.

I can't understand Why STATIC colliders make such a difference in physics, while there aren't much rigid bodies. I'll appreciate a lot if you could offer me some information about this.

Hi, there are infos about static colliders in Unity 5 (compared to Unity 4) in this blog entry: http://blogs.unity3d.com/2014/07/08/high-performance-physics-in-unity-5/

Also, I guess you already have setup the layers/flags to reduce the number of possible collisions.
