MathAbs for input.acceleration only inputs for 1 side

So i Have a code that makes my tank cannon moves with acceleration input x and y using MathAbs when i Test my game my code only works when i move right and up but left and down is always idle I made Research for 2 - 3 hours and i can't find a soultion or anyone has my bug Anyone knows how to make a input for left and down here is my code in java:

 #pragma strict
 var target : Transform;
 var TS : float = 1.0; 
 function Update() {
     if (Mathf.Abs(Input.acceleration.y) < -0.5) {
         transform.RotateAround (target.position, Vector3.left, TS);
     }
     if (Mathf.Abs(Input.acceleration.y) > 0.5) {
         transform.RotateAround (target.position, Vector3.right, TS);
     }
     if (Mathf.Abs(Input.acceleration.x) < -0.5) {
         transform.RotateAround (target.position, Vector3.back, TS);
     }
     if (Mathf.Abs(Input.acceleration.x) > 0.5) {
         transform.RotateAround (target.position, Vector3.forward, TS);
     }
 }

I would like the code in java but i wont mind if in c sharp
