Unity 5.2.0f3 on Windows 10 (Realistic System Requirements)

Hello all,

I recently started an online Unity game development course. I experienced issues developing a Block Breaker clone and now that we are into a Space Invaders clone I am experience more issues. These issues are appear to be HEAVILY centered around my system's performance in run time. (I am at a point in the project where I have to put it on hold until I have a better system to work with or know what upgrades are truly needed.)

All this website says is "it depends upon the project" which is true however a general guideline for the average Indie title would not hurt.

Here's my system:

  • OS: Windows 10

  • Mother: Z97-E

  • CPU: Intel® Pentium® Processor G3258 (Anniversary Edition)

  • 8GB DDR3

Whatever the short comings, this is happening in the 2D portion of the curriculum which means I am hooped in the 3D portion of the course.
