Child object local position keeps getting offset when added to parent during run time?

I have an image prefab and I would like to instantiate it and move it to a given location. Heres the code

 wumpusImage = Instantiate(Resources.Load("Prefabs/Hole"), cenText [0].transform.position, cenText [0].transform.rotation) as GameObject;
 wumpusImage.transform.SetParent(cenText [0].transform,false);
 wumpusImage.transform.localPosition = Vector3.zero;

The issue is the child object keeps getting offset by 10, and I'm pretty sure that I do not move the parent at all in the script. I even debug log the local position of the child and it prints 0,0,0. But still the offset is there. If I set the localposition for the child to (10,10,0) then it will work. But this is not a legit solution I think it would be.

Could someone help explain for me whats going on?


I solved the issue, by setting the pivot of both the child and parent to center. Somehow different pivot result in weird offset .... and Im not sure why that happens. Say I set both parent and child to down left pivot, the offset still occurs.
