Question by kevin730 · Nov 27, 2015 at 10:21 AM · score

having difficulties implenting score in my game using C# can someone please help.

i have a bananna gameobject spawning from 2 locations and upon collsion with my player gameobject, im trying to increase score. i have the collision script attached to the bananna and the score script attached to the player. here is my code for the score script.

using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using UnityEngine.UI;

public class Score : MonoBehaviour {

 public Text Text;
 public int score;

 // Use this for initialization
 void Start () {
     score = 0;
     SetScoreText ();

 }

 void OnCollisionEnter2d (Collision2D other) {
     if (other.gameObject.CompareTag("3"))

     {
         other.gameObject.SetActive (false);
         score = score + 10;
         SetScoreText();

 }

} void SetScoreText() { Text.text = "Score: " + score.ToString (); } }

here is the script for my collision:

using UnityEngine.UI; using UnityEngine; using System.Collections;

 public class collision : MonoBehaviour {

     void OnCollisionEnter2D (Collision2D col) {

     Debug.Log ("collided and " + col.gameObject.name);
     if(col.gameObject.name == "floor")
     {
         Destroy(this.gameObject);
     }

     if(col.gameObject.name == "player")
     {

         Destroy(this.gameObject);

     }

 }

}
