Unity3D not recognizing Using directories?

Ok, so I am working on a project, that uses the "System.Net.Mail" using directory. I know for a fact that it exists, although im still getting this error: error CS0234: The type or namespace name Mail' does not exist in the namespace System.Net'. Are you missing an assembly reference?

The MSDN page is here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.net.mail(v=vs.110).aspx

And its not working. anybody know why?

Try just System.Net, and then do Mail.Stuff() in your code, do you still get the error?

Yup. if i try to use anything that would normally need to System.Net.Mail it says that it needs the system.net.mail but it also says that doesnt exist.

using System.Net.Mail; works in the version of unity I am currently using (5.2.3f1) so I'm not sure why it's not working for you. What version of unity are you using and could you attach a script that generates this error?

I think i figured it out. for whatever reason the windows/mac/linux build support did not exist, so i downloaded it, and that fixed all my problems. :/ It suddenly dissapered, and i dunno why.
