Humanoid avatars - how to set posture

I need to have humanoid avatars in my project, but I do not need to animate them: having them in a certain posture is fine for me, I do not want to animate it. (Note: The posture is the same in every case, but the humanoid avatar is downloaded from the internet during runtime)

What are the possible ways to achieve this? Is there a way to do that in Unity? Do I have to use a separate tool for that?

I tried to cut single frames from animations, but the reult was terrible: the avatar accumlated offset over time, no matter if root motion or bake into position was enabled or not. Also when I wanted to add a simple animation on position property that did not work at all.

I created a new scene, new 1 frame animation and it worked. I added a new animation on its position property and it also worked. But... if I play the game in Unity Editor, and play the animation, and stop the game when the animation is not in its initial state, then this becomes the new initial state. The position where gameobject is when game is not played gains offset...
