CS1061 Error, help please

Hello i have a problem with a line of code for a game im making. Its a simple 2D platformer game and im using Unity 5.3.2 with .NET framework 4.0 I get the error: Error CS0120: An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property 'UnityEngine.Rigidbody2D.velocity.get' (CS0120) (Assembly-CSharp) This is the code im using:

     void UsePhysics () {
     Vector3 dir = pathPoints [currentPath].position - transform.position;
     Vector3 dirNorm = dir.normalized;

     Rigidbody2D.velocity = new Vector2 (dirNorm.x * (speed *Time.fixedDeltaTime), Rigidbody2D.velocity.y);

     if (dir.magnitude <= reachDistance) {
         currentPath++;
         if (currentPath >= pathPoints.Length){
             currentPath = 0;
         }
     }

 }

The problem is there :

 Rigidbody2D.velocity = new Vector2 (dirNorm.x * (speed *Time.fixedDeltaTime), Rigidbody2D.velocity.y);

You're using velocity as if it were a static field, instead of modifying the velocity of the Rigidbody2D attached to your GameObject. So first you need to get your Rigidbody2D with GetComponent, and then you can modify its velocity.

 Rigidbody2D myRigidbody = GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>();
 myRigidbody.velocity = new Vector2 (dirNorm.x * speed * Time.fixedDeltaTime, myRigidbody.velocity.y);
