Fill Font Characters with White?

My .ttf font has an empty "interior". As show below:

Font with white background:

Font with blue background:

How can we make the "interior" of the text always be white, without using a background? I'll be using the Unity game engine.

On the other hand, is there a way to modify the .ttf file itself, to "fill" the characters with white?
