Missing Tree Place Color Variation Option

Hi,

I'm currently using the standard asset Palm tree. I'm following a guide but found out that the color variation settings is missing.

I was planning to upload a screenshot here but always gets the error "Error parsing the uploaded file" so I'll just describe it.

  • Under the terrain in the inspector window, place tree is selected. The only available settings are Brush size, tree density, tree height, lock width to height, tree width, and random tree rotation.

  • I added the tree by dragging the Palm_desktop.spm to the Add window opened by the inspector.

  • I'll just add that I'm using the free version if that can be the cause of the issue

I don't recall there ever being a color variation option for trees... The grass section has this.

Hmm.. $$anonymous$$aybe I'm starting to think that they removed this function. Here is some screenshot that I've seen from google Color Variiation Option. They did have this option before. The book I was followiing was the "Unity 3.x Game Development Essentials" which is as you can see a book for the older versioin of Unity. I'm currently using the latest free version of Unity.

I'm also wondering about this... I know it was definitely there before.
