Can Unity be used to make animated videos?

I’m a total newbie at this, so I do not know everything that Unity has to offer yet. I know it’s meant for making games, but I was just wondering if it can also be used for making animated videos. Animated cutscenes are something that I’ll want in my games, but can I create them using Unity, or will I need to create them using a separate program and then import them into Unity after?

If the former is the case; then would I also be able use Unity to make animated videos outside of just cutscenes for games? I’ve seen people share all kinds of animated videos on YouTube using Source Film Maker and it looks pretty fun, so I was just wondering if the same could be done in Unity.

But if the case is the latter and I’ll need to use a separate program for creating cutscenes and videos in; are there any specific programs I would have to use in order for Unity to be compatible with it? For example; would videos/cutscenes made using that Source Film Maker I just mentioned be compatible with Unity, or would I need to use a specific animation program in order for it to work in games made with Unity?

Basically, I just want to know if Unity is enough by itself or if I’m going to need to use another program alongside it to create videos/cutscenes in. I’ve been poking around the tutorials, but I haven’t been able to find any mentioning of this topic so far.

Of course Unity can be used this way. You can either use scenes themselves to animate your cutscene (you will load the scene, animations will play, you will go to the next scene), or you can record your scenes using a screen recording software to record them in video formats to use them with full screen videos, movie textures etc.

I like to use the second way in my projects.
