Problem Saving Value

I have a game where player can earn coins so i'm saving them, but the method what I use to save them runs always when the player dies and in my game the player can die fast and I think running this is heavy: BinaryFormatter BN = new BinaryFormatter(); FileStream Setter = File.Create(Application.streamingAssetsPath + "/Data.dat"); BN.Serialize(Setter, Result); Setter.Close();

(I don't want to use PlayerPrefs, because you can edit them easily)

Another idea was to save coins when players quits the game, but i tested that by changing a 3D Text's text when quitting. I used OnApplicationQuit (NOTICE: I'M USING ANDROID) for that and that didn't work. So the question is how to detect when player is quitting the game ON ANDROID or what to do?

You could use Debug.Log to print Time.Time in your console, that way you'll see how long it takes for the BinaryFormatter operation. I doubt that's a problem, though. Android can't use a BF as far as I know.
