Carrying an object using Javascript

I'm not very good with coding in general, so bear with me...I'm trying to make a simple game where you carry an item once you're inside the item's doormat trigger and drop it into a box using Javascript, but the problem is that my script isn't working! What can I do to fix this? Currently this script is attached to my doormat trigger:

  #pragma strict
 //variables
 public var myObject : Transform;
 public var target : Transform;
 public var apple:GameObject;
 
 function Update () 
 {
     //follows the ball at the set vector distance
     myObject.position = target.position + new Vector3(0,0,0);
     myObject.rotation = target.rotation;
 }

 function OnTriggerEnter (other:Collider) {
 if (other.gameObject.tag == "Apple"){
 apple.GetComponent.<Transform>().position = new Vector3(0, 1, 3);
 }
 }

And this is the script attached to my player:

 public var apple:GameObject;
 public var isInsideCollider:boolean = false;

 function Start () {

 }

 function Update () {
     if (Input.GetMouseButtonDown(0) == true){
         if (isInsideCollider == false){
             isInsideCollider = true;
         }else{
             isInsideCollider = false;
         }
     }
     if (isInsideCollider == true){
         apple.GetComponent.<Transform>().position = new Vector3(0, 1, 3);
     } else {

     }
     }

 function OnTriggerEnter () {
 apple.GetComponent.<Transform>().position = new Vector3(0, 1, 3);
 }
