Visual Studio Code vs VS Community

Hi,

I've recently installed Visual Studio Code for my web design classes, and when I go to install Unity, it gives me the option to install Visual Studio Community, which adds about 10 gigs to the size. Is this something I need? I'm just starting out and wondering what is the best way to set up.
