Rigidbody air direction

I have a rectangular rigidbody representing the prototype of a car. This can jump and drift (mario kart style). I want to allow rotation in midair (that's happening without problems) but the rectangle changes direction in mid air if I turn. Acceleration (or any kind of forward/backwards force) are disabled in air via raycasting check (and it's working fine). Acceleration is done via AddRelativeForce. The turn is done via rigidbody.angularVelocity. I know I can stop that not allowing to turn in air but I need that.
