jave package name issue

Question

My game is live on play store. I updated it but when I build for making apk(unity3d) it gives the error Error building Player: UnityException: Resource compilation failed! Package name 'com.pas.mygame.double.sim2016' is not a valid java package name. if it's not valid package name then why it allowed this name before. thanks in advance

I guess it's because of "double". double is a type name so using it in a namespace will give you problems as it's a reserved word.

I am already using 'double' in package name. If this was the issue then error should be generated in previous version too

Well, it never was a valid package name, see this:

[...] if the package name begins with a digit or other character that is illegal to use as the beginning of a Java name, or if the package name contains a reserved Java keyword, such as "int". In this event, the suggested convention is to add an underscore

So it shouldn't have worked earlier. If it has, it was a bug in the past.
