How to make player shoot where my mouse is pointing

Im making top down 2d shooter , Im stuck on trying to make player shoot where mouse is pointing , I dont want the player to rotate but just instantiate object in direction where my mouse is and that object to go in that direction

You can get a direction vector by subtracting, the desired poisition from yours and then normalize it:

 if(/*Shooting condition is true*/)
 {
     Vector3 direction = (Camera.main.ScreenToWorldPoint(Input.mousePosition) - transform.position).normalized;
     yourBullet.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D> ().AddForce (direction * /*the desired speed*/);
 }

Yea but where do I instantiate the bullet ? from what I udnerstant this just gets my position but where is the bullet created ?

You can have a spawn position set to your gun or anything and after that use the nice piece of code above to send it to the direction of your mouse. Hope you get what you need :)
