Script to run on tap, exempt in area.

Hi everyone,

I have a game for mobile that uses a script that says whenever you tap the screen the player changes color. I added a pause button to the game through the hierarchy/Create/UI/Button option.

The issue i am having is that when the player taps the pause button the characters color still changes. is there a way to check if the touch is a particular area?
