Question by WKWONG · Oct 09, 2016 at 09:33 AM · vuforiagameobjects

changing a gameobject into another gameobject upon virtual button (vuforia) press.

Hi all, I am new to Unity 5, I want to make a project with vuforia in unity. After pressing a virtual button called "collectbloodsample", I want to change the output image "blood" (child of an image target in AR camera called "itemtag") into another gameobject "sampletube". I just surf the net and copy some, I don't know why the below script don't work. (The meeeage "Button down!!!" do appear on console windows)

using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using Vuforia;

public class vbScript1 : MonoBehaviour, IVirtualButtonEventHandler {

 private GameObject vbButtonObject;
 private GameObject blood;
 private GameObject sampletube;

 // Use this for initialization
 void Start () {

     vbButtonObject = GameObject.Find ("collectbloodsample");
     vbButtonObject.GetComponent<VirtualButtonBehaviour>().RegisterEventHandler(this);

 }

 public void OnButtonPressed (VirtualButtonAbstractBehaviour vb)
 {
     Debug.Log("buttton down!!!");
     GameObject sampletube = (GameObject)Instantiate(sampletube, blood.transform.position, blood.transform.rotation);
     Destroy(blood);

 }

 public void OnButtonReleased(VirtualButtonAbstractBehaviour vb)
 {

 }

}

can some help me to change the script? Many thanks!!
