How to enable unity remote 5 to work with android device

im using unity remote 5 to connect to my laptop the version of the app of unity im using is 5.4 have tried everything but its not working any advice would be good,have already tried the sdk things but have not had luck

Did you manage to run it on earlier versions? Sometimes it just wont work until you restart your android device.

there is a problem I am facing once the accidentely cable disconnected than it needs to close and reopen unity to test with remote is there anyone facing the same problem and have any fix to not close unity or mobile? because this is a very hectic routine in terms of you continuously debugging on the remote .

try changing the cable your using i was using an IKEA cable i had hanging on my desk which wasted me 5 hours

In my case the problem was the path of the SDK. My default path was ".../.../...\SDK". That last inverted slash was causing the problem. I corrected it to be ".../.../.../SDK" by unchecking the checkbox and it worked like a charm.

Hi, I'm getting this problem too, I'm on Windows, and have a Google Pixel (1). I have Unity 2019.4.5f1 installed. I was able to install the Android Module to it, and the SDK shows up without the "Not using recommended version" warning, I forgot exactly what it said. And, my Pixel shows up as a device in the build settings, but not where you select the device (it just says None or Any Android Device). I don't know what to do, I have Developer mode enabled and USB Debugging on, too.
