Question by Solkia2010 · Oct 26, 2016 at 05:46 AM · visual studio

How to switch the version of Visual Studio that Unity opens?

I messed up on my first installation of Visual Studio and installed Community instead of Express for Desktop, but Unity only opens Community.

Does Unity only work with Community or can I get it to open a project in Express?

Simply navigate to "Edit → Preferences → External Tools → External Script Editor". If I'm wrong, there's an article here: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/VisualStudioIntegration.html
