Problem scrolling two different object infinitely

Hello guys.. I'm trying to develop a simple Infinite Running Game. And I have a problem with the infinite scroll of the ground. I ve seen many method to do so but most of those involved in Quad and I need to make something different.

In my case I have two different type of grounds (Sand one and Water one), these two gorunds are consecutive. They have the same width(42f to be precise) and I want to loop these two infinitely. One Ground fill the camera the other one is out of the camera.

My logic is this: when a ground (doesn't matter which one) reaches a precise x value behind the Camera (this value is the Start position - the size of the ground), it has to be redirected exactly after the camera in order to be displayed immediatly e restart his trip. And so on.

My code is this:

 using UnityEngine;
 using System.Collections;
 using System;

 public class Scrolling : MonoBehaviour {
     public float speed;
     private Vector2 startPosition;
     private Vector2 startPosition2;
     public GameObject ground2;  //Sand
     public GameObject ground1;  // Water
     private float trigger;
     private Vector2 offset;

     // Use this for initialization
     void Start () {
         startPosition = ground1.transform.position;
         startPosition2 = ground2.transform.position;
         trigger = startPosition.x - 42f ;

     }

     // Update is called once per frame
     void Update () {

         Vector2 offset = new Vector2(Time.time * speed, 0);
         ground1.transform.position = startPosition - offset;
         ground2.transform.position = startPosition2 - offset;
         if(ground1.transform.position.x < trigger)
         {
             ground1.transform.position = startPosition2;

         }else if(ground2.transform.position.x < trigger)
         {
             ground2.transform.position = startPosition2;
         }

     }

 }

Unfortunatly when the first ground reaches the trigger value it is redirected at the desired position, but it stops moving. The other ground moves infinitely to the left and when it reaches the trigger value continue is Infinite trip xD. What's wrong here?
