Terrain Trees remain lit up when no light is cast

The problem is when my flashlight (spot light, Ive messed with the range, angle, intensity etc.) hits a tree and begins to illuminate it, it lights up but when the light is not casting to the tree surface it remains lit. As you can see from the gif, this problem is not shared by the leaves of the tree which are lighting properly. I’ve tried changing the Trees bark shader to everything suggested online (Bumped Diffuse) but nothing seems to work, I’m still consistently getting this problem. Any suggestions?
