Google VR app - Huge drift on Samsung Galaxy S6/S7

Hi.

I'm using the latest Google VR SDK to make a game, and when I test the game on Samsung Gamaxy S6 or S7, the drift is insane - 90 degrees in less than 30 seconds.

Anyone encounter something like that, or knows about a possible solution?

I'm not trying to get rid of drift completely, I'm pretty sure that's impossible on these devices without GearVr, but I'd like to reach a normal drift, like I have on other devices (Sony Xperia Z5, Nexus 5, etc.),

Try to calibrate the gyroscope on your phones. Here's a video on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_imVEETkWpc

I have not tested it myself, but i know a lot of drifting issues are because of a badly calibrated gyro.

Already tried that, it didn't help. :-\ But thank you for looking it up! :)

@yotman This is not uncommon for the S6 or S7. There are a few things you could try such as this https://youtu.be/TOh7lvLfQSI which works for some. There is also an asset called VR Drift Fix by the Cardboard Buddies on the Unity Asset Store. However, I must warn you I use a S6edge and it didn't do anything to fix the issue on my device. Keep me posted if you find a feasible solution to this problem.
