VR: Toggle one-axis-direction scaling of gameobject when using gazeOver / gazeOut

  1. Empty GameObject.

  2. Children of GO are a quad (VRInteractiveItem m_Item;) and 1 line of text.

  3. EGO pivot is at left edge of the quad so I may scale away from this direction.

  4. When I gazeOver the quad I want the parent EGO to scale larger to the right, when gaze over stops scale it back down. Basically a rollover effect in VR.

My non-working code is below. What is not working you ask? I don't know how to get it to go back to it's original size when I gazeOff.

Or is there a better way?

         parentTransform.localScale = new Vector3 (scale_.x,scale_.y,temp.z); 
         yield return null;
     }
 }
