Sending Objects Through Portal effect (Shaders)?

So I've only found one other question on unity answers which has asked a similar question however didn't find the correct answer.

So what im looking for is a way in while i can send an object (mainly Large) through a portal and where ever the face of the portal touches the object, a partition of the object will be invisible. I've got an image of what i mean down below if you can't understand what im saying.

I'm guessing there must be multiple ways of doing this and simply looking to see if anyone's knows how to create the effect of this, hopefully not faked but if it comes down to thats the only way ,then ill look into it.

Thanks so much for any help even if its links to sources alt text

Try searching "slice plane", "slicer", "cross section" This looks like something you want https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/the-open-cross-section-project-pbr-shaderforge.399174/#post-2606160
