Question by iliaJelly · Apr 27, 2017 at 12:54 PM · animationbakegitsource-controlauto

How to, git commit, the auto light bake setting ?

So our project is big, and we are not using Unities Lightning system. From time to time, this annoying checkboxes turnes itself on, which slows down our already burdened computers.

I can't find where this setting is in the unity meta files, so that I would commit its permanent disablement.

This is saved to the scene, not the meta file. Open up the scene file in a text editor and change m_GIWorkflowMode from 0 to 1

Oh, could you add to your answer, the case where you should change "Asset Serialization" in the Editor Settings to "Force Text", in order to open the scene in a text editor?
