Tree placement with texture/density map

Hey guys, I'm working with WorldMachine which allows really really nice terrain maps like heightmaps, slope maps, color, etc, and I was wondering what support if any Unity has for vegetation and/or rock and/or tree placement with a grayscale image. If not, are there scripts to do the same thing?

Anyway thanks for the help, I'm really very new to Unity.
