Unity Editor not finding assets after updating to macOS 10.13?

Yesterday, the developer beta for MacOS High Sierra was released, and after doing this update, I am no longer able to view any of my Unity assets, and all of the prefab connections/referenced scripts show up as not being able to be found, despite them being in the correct folders in Finder.

I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this, and was wondering if somebody could shed some light on whether this has to do with the switch to APFS from HFS+ file systems, or if it is because of the Unity beta just not yet supporting the MacOS developer beta yet?

Thanks in advance for any insight into why I'm experiencing this.

After updating El-Capitan to Sierra my Unity projects stopped open. I copied my projects to an external NTFS drive and it solved the problem .. I am using Unity 4.7.2f1

The problem of Unity versus MacOS High Sierra still an issue!

A couple of my students have had persistent problems with MacOS and current versions of Unity - versions 2017.3 and 2018.1.

Just last Wednesday, I worked with a student to try and solve the problems she experienced and it was very strange.

She was running Unity 2018.1 with MacOS High Sierra

  • C# compiler ran - the editor would complain about syntax errors I added

  • Components (monobehaviours) could be added to GameObjects but the Start() method never ran in Play mode.

  • tried editing code in Visual Studio (for Mac) and the UNIX text editor vi and having a simple Start() method with just a Debug.Log() call, would not run!

  • C# assets randomly disappeared from the project so the Asset Database was losing artifacts.

Why does that f****ng apple doesnt care us developers, why do not care that many software will be affected and will not function well in that high sierra update, why do they make high sierra like that.
