Object reference not set to instance of an object?

I want to use static GameManager instance to call a method, but it doesn't work.

following is my code:

public class GameManager : MonoBehaviour {

 public static GameManager instance;

 void Awake()
 {
     if (instance == null)
         instance = this;
     else if (instance != this)
         Destroy(instance);
 }

 public AudioSource AddAudio(AudioClip clip, bool loop, bool playOnAwake, float vol)
 {
     AudioSource newAudio = gameObject.AddComponent<AudioSource>();

     newAudio.clip = clip;
     newAudio.loop = loop;
     newAudio.playOnAwake = playOnAwake;
     newAudio.volume = vol;

     return newAudio;
 }

}

public class Player : MonoBehaviour {

 public AudioClip clipPlayerJump;
 public AudioClip clipEnemyDie;

 private AudioSource audioPlayerJump;
 private AudioSource audioEnemyDie;

void Awake () {

     audioPlayerJump = GameManager.instance.AddAudio(clipPlayerJump, false, false, 0.8f);
     audioEnemyDie = GameManager.instance.AddAudio(clipEnemyDie, false, false, 0.7f);
 }

Should I use GetComponent? and How to implement GetComponent here? Please help! Thank you!
