What specifically is not working properly? Does the fbx importer give any warnings? I don't think we're using any special export settings for our models.

Well here is what I did. I opened up Lerpz.fx from the 2D tutorial in $$anonymous$$aya. Edited his features slightly, then I export to FBX by clicking Export All => Set units to $$anonymous$$eters Up axis is at Y.

I get the error "Warning Animation Curve Tangent Type" when exporting from $$anonymous$$aya. When I import him into Unity to replace Lerpz he is either imported sideways and I get the error "Number of bind poses doesn't match number of bones in skinned mesh".

Any ideas?

You don't need to export via FBX in order to import into Unity. Save your Maya file directly in the Maya format, and then import that into Unity (Unity supports source files from all major modeling applications like 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, etc). It will maximize your compatibility and minimize possible errors through the FBX export process.

I just tried this. From the Lerpz tutorial, I deleted the FBX file completed and replaced it with a $$anonymous$$aya file and linked it. I still manage to get this error as well ==> "Number of bind poses doesn't match number of bones in skinned mesh." :(

Here is a link to my files. Basically the Lerpz tutorial but being replaced with my own $$anonymous$$aya file. http://drop.io/wggreor/asset/2dgameplaytutorial-11-zip I also found this link with a similar error, but I can't decipher it. http://forum.unity3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=238312&sid=d85fe550b70a3e24c8f2831c953a7704

Hey Guys.... I didn't really figure out how to do everything. But I did a work around. I just imported my $$anonymous$$aya model and reconnected all the scripts for that character. Was a bit tedious but I learned in the process. Thanks!!
