Editor UI has become unresponsive on all projects (including new)

When I launched Unity today to start working the editor has been really laggy. When I click on anyt$$anonymous$$ng (object in $$anonymous$$erachy, a window tab, any menus) it takes 5-6 seconds for unity to catch up. T$$anonymous$$s is happening with all my projects and new projects I create. The projects work fine in unity on my laptop.

I tried reinstalling unity and patc$$anonymous$$ng it to 2017.1.0p2 w$$anonymous$$ch hasn't fixed anyt$$anonymous$$ng. Now I get t$$anonymous$$s error in the console
