Is there a way to render a sprite on the SceneView, but not the Game window?

Hello there,

I setup a gameObject with a sprite to keep track of an offset. I don't want it to be rendered in the game, but still be visible on the Scene Editor. Is this possible?

you can use layers and camera culling mask

You might also want to investigate Gizmos, which are specifically designed to provide additional graphic information only in the editor scene view. https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Gizmos.html

I'll back up that answer since gizmos should be discarded from build (as they are debug). Adding an object and using culling mask (as in the other answer) takes runtime process.

I intended to do so at first, but the lack of a DrawCircle function drove me off. I just spotted the DrawSphere who I believe would work just fine in a 2D game.
