Question by Krahazik · Aug 27, 2017 at 12:46 AM · cameraviewscene view

How can I adjust the editor mouse sensitivity?

I have this promblem in scene edit where my mouse seams to be moving at insine intervals. For example, zooming in and out appears ot be at 1 meter intervals. So my view is either to far away to properly work with the pieces, or when I try to zoom in closer, I am so close im threw the model and can nolonger see what I need to be looking at.

Panning and tilting seams to have the same proplem. I need finite control, and instead I have half mile controls.

The preferences do not appear to have any settings at all for mouse sensitivity. As a result I am having to use the game camera for my scene edit camera, positioning it close to where I need to be looking to manipulate a part and switching to Game preview window to move the part, and back and forth. This to me is kind of counter productive as its adding unessisary work time simply becasue the scene edit camer is almost usless as I can't get it to where I need it.

Just found the answer to my own question. Users manual was actually usefull for this one.

Apparently the shift key is a toggle for mouse speed. Hit it and my view start behaving more sanely.

As to getting my camera where I need it, ASDWQE are usable for moving the camer about as expected (for a first person style of game) while holding down the right mouse button. QE are the only oddities for me, as im not used to using those keys for moving up and down, even in games where flight is a possibility. I am use to the Crouch and Jump keys performing those movments when flying in games.
