Question by dandepeched · Oct 08, 2017 at 10:58 AM · android buildil2cpparmv7x86

Android Device Filter seems not working with IL2CPP

I'm trying to make separate builds for x86 and armv7. Everything works fine with Mono backend. I switched to IL2CPP and now I'm getting an error in Google Console, because it thinks that separate apks contains support for both platforms (says "Native platforms: armeabi-v7a, x86").

It is also strange because both apks have less size than the FAT one using IL2CPP.

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Check the list of native libraries you have in both APKs - this may explain something. Or just share the APKs to check it.

Hi, how can I get the list of those libraries?

Here is the link to x86 apk which is somehow valid for arm (I've installed it on my device) - [1]: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-iT0mv7sYB2OWJQZ0tqRkh2M2s

Okay your APK contains the following ARM libraries: lib\armeabi-v7a\libAnalytics.so lib\armeabi-v7a\libApp.so lib\armeabi-v7a\libgpg.so

It also has the same libs for x86, plus the Unity libs for x86.

Sounds like you have several plugins with these libraries, and they are added into the APK ignoring the device filter. As a workaround, you may have to manually manage the libraries in the plugin - like, remove ARM libs from within the AARs when building for x86. No idea why this is specific to il2cpp though.

You may want to report a bug and attach your project for us to take a look; however, using the workaround I mentioned is probably the fastest way to go for you.

I have the same issue with the mono backend.
