Google Cast

Question

I'm on Unity 2017.1.1f1 with the Android SDK that comes with Studio 2.3.3 and trying to run the Google Cast Remote Display plugin / sample with no luck. It builds fine but crashes immediately on run. I'm pretty new to the whole Android development portion of Unity, so I'm not even sure what questions to ask at the moment, aside from: has anyone had any luck with this, or have an advice to get this working?

I've had the same problem. I ended up forced to go back to Unity 5 because I was never able to get it to work. Even then, on newer Android devices, it does weird things like force the android bar on-screen while casting, covering up part of my UI.

I'm pretty much ready to give up on it.
