Same problem here, I can't do anything in the newest Unity version. I have turned on $$anonymous$$ixed Reality in the Player Settings, but I can't even find the right SD$$anonymous$$ in the build settings. This version of Unity is kinda worthless..

Thank you all for your answers. I am actually doing a project with the HoloLens to. So maybe I should give some more background information with my question.

However, after spending some more time on the internet, I found out it was a settings issue. The way i solved this is by setting the scripting backend option to .NET agian. You can find this option under player option -> other settings -> configuration and then put the scripting backend option to .NET. I hope that this works for others ass well!

If this is an issue yet: I also had the same problem, but I could solve it easily by changing the "Scripting Backend" to .NET in the player settings. Hope this helps :)

Hello, even if you do what @pako says you wont be able to fix this problem. Is a know issue in this version. I had the same project. I do not know the status of your project however I have solved it with this new Beta Version. https://blogs.unity3d.com/es/2017/09/30/unity-2017-3-beta-is-out/

I can assure that this works but I do not know what would be the problem for your project. Regards,

@CharlieBrown could you please share your insight about this being a known issue. Officially it's not mentioned as a known issue:

https://unity3d.com/unity/whats-new/unity-2017.2.0

...and there are no patches releases yet for 2017.2.

So, if you could post some links or something, it would be helpful to others.

I just tested this. I have no problem with 2017.2 to select Unity C# Project in the Build Settings for UWP, or building with that option selected. So, I have assumed that as long as the UWP platform can be selected (switched to), there would be no problem selecting Unity C# Project, hence my answer.

Again it would be good @CharlieBrown to post the info you have regarding the "known issue".

Hi, I have this link https://github.com/$$anonymous$$icrosoft/$$anonymous$$ixedRealityToolkit-Unity/issues/295 and one more that I cannot find. YOu can check it, but as soon as you try to compile it , you wont be able to compile it. I am working with HoloLens but I also experience it with normal UWP. If i find the other link I will post it here

@CharlieBrown the link you provided is not relevant to the OP Question, because:

a. Unity Version is prior to 2017.2, since since 2017.1 "Windows Store" has been renamed to "Universal Windows Platform". b. The issue in your link is "HoloTool$$anonymous$$it BuildTool fails to build when "Unity C# Projects" option checked in Unity "Build Settings" menu". However, the OP Question is not about HoloLens. It is about "not being able to turn on Unity C# Projects".

Also, as I said in my previous comment, I have already checked, and I have neither a problem selecting Unity C# Project, or building with that selection.

If you Answer is relevant only to HoloLens, and probably relevant only to versions prior to Unity 2017.2, it is completely irrelevant to the OP Question.
