Question by AmirSavand · Oct 23, 2017 at 09:23 AM · mobileresolution1080p

Set maximum resolution to 1080p

My game looks pretty small when I build it on android (1440p), is it okay to force max resolution to 1080p?

If so, how to set it? I alreay did Screen.SetResolution (1920, 1080, true); and it dosen't work.

@amirm3hdi I$$anonymous$$HO you should not do that. I wouldn't. If you stretch the textures that are designed to fill a 1920x1080 screen to cover a 2560x1440 screen, I believe that the loss in image quality will be noticeable.

So, I would either provide higher resolution textures suitable for 1440p, in which case the game wouldn't look small, or decide not to make the game available to devices with 1440p+ resolutions. FYI according to the latest available Unity $$anonymous$$obile Hardware Stats, 1440p devices account for about 1.8% of Unity games:

No, my asset quality is fine, has nothing to do with that.

In other games, things are smaller, including the UI (for high res phones) I guess it's ok for the game to look a bit smaller for high res devices.

Until 2017.3, RenderTextures are your only option.
