Unity cannot find Facebook

When I made a new project, when trying to load the project, every time it comes up with Copying C:/Program Files/Unity/Editor/Data/PlaybackEngines/Facebook/SDK/7.9.4 to Library/FacebookSDK: The System cannot find the file specified. I have also been through the files myself and can only follow it up to /Facebook where the file SKD doesn’t exist. the only thing existing in that file is SKD updater which does nothing.

Also, in the Console, there are constantly errors saying: Cannot open file ‘Library/FacebookSDK/version.txt’ for write

a little help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Ben

@BenHowick ,Did you got solution for this problem. as i’m too getting this problem unable to open new project or existed project getting same error as yours ,but i’m using Mac and the error is copying file failed
Library/Facebook/SDK/7.9.4 to Library/FacebookSDK. when i cancel , it shows error in the project console Cannot open file ‘Library/FacebookSDK/version.txt’ for write.

AnyBody help me out how to resolve this issue ,i’m frustated with this issue.

Hello @vasanthbalaji

I did end up sorting this problem however it sorted itself when I deleted unity and installed it again (which I had to do anyway for an update). This solved the problem as it redownloaded the files.

There is a workaround however as (I forgot the buttons) one of the buttons will take you to the project anyway and you have to do the same every time you want to run the program. This is a pain to do however.

So basically, short answer is that I’d recommend deleting unity and reinstalling it to fix this issue. Sorry it is a pain to do but it is the only way I fixed it.

If you need anymore help feel free to ask.
Ben
