Question by Chris 4 · Jul 13, 2011 at 05:57 PM · texturerandomglow

Texture randomly started to glow...

My new scene that I worked on all morning was acting fine. Randomly these two textures started glowing. To give an idea of what I mean by 'glows' look at the links.

Glow (close to texture): http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n546/chris1001001/glow1.png

Far away view: http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n546/chris1001001/glow2.png

(Just two textures do this the rest are fine.) I did no change to any lighting added no scripts whatsoever yet. In the editor when I get far away, they apear how they looked originally, but when I zoom in too close, it glows. I am very confused as to why this happens. I was wondering if there is a way to fix this.

There may be an emissive element to the shader you are using, try changing the shader - or creating a new Material with the same texture. Also ensure you don't have any post fx enabled

I tried those...did not work. Shockingly I just dragged in the terrain again and the textures on the new one were normal. I deleted the old one. I do not know if it will happen again though later. Guess we will see.
