Question by zumbeemods · Dec 28, 2017 at 01:56 AM · script error

Error CS1525: Unexpected Symbol 'a',Unexpected symbol 'a'

I created a character controller script for 2D following a video tutorial. Here is the script: using System.Collections;

using System.Collections.Generic;

using UnityEngine;

public class Player1Control : MonoBehaviour {

 public float maxSpeed = 11f;
 bool right = true;
 Animator a;

 void Start ()
 {
     a = GetComponent<Animator> ();
 }

 void FixedUpdate ()
 {
     float move = Input.GetAxis("Horizontal")
     a.SetFloat("Speed", Mathf.Abs(move));
     GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().velocity = new Vector2(move * maxSpeed, GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().velocity.y);

     if(move > 0 && !right)
         Flip();
     else
     {
         if(move < 0  && right)
             Flip();
     }
 }

 void Flip()
 {
     right = !right;
     Vector3 scale = transform.localScale;
     scale.x *= -1;
     transform.localScale = scale
 }

}

On line 19,2 Unity says "Unexpected symbol 'a'". How would I fix this? The person in the video did not have this problem.

There is a semicolon missing after float move = Input.GetAxis("Horizontal") on line 18.

@Cherubini-Neto I added that, but it now says "error CS1002: ; expected"

You also forgot to put semicolon in this line transform.localScale = scale
