FBX Animation Import

I've got an object that I'm importing in via FBX that contains multiple animations for different parts on the object. The animation is importing in just great, but I would like to be able to target each animation sequence via script, and cue them at selected times. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, however. I can click on different part names on the object, and see that the animations are separated out for each part, but I can't seem to figure out how to target these parts (or the animation) via code. What I would like in the end is to be able to press different GUI buttons to trigger each separate animation. Any ideas?
