Inconsistent line endings even though NewBehaviour is good - 2017.3

Hi all!

Since version 2017.3 is out, i have this really annoying issue where, even though i edited my NewBehaviourScript.cs.txt with correct line endings, unity, for some reasons, decides to change them to mac EOL nonetheless, which unavoidably creates inconsistencies when i start editing my scripts. I know it's caused by unity and not visual studio because it's changed even before i open it once. Do any of you have any idea what's causing this issue and how it could be fixed, please? I'd like to point out that i already have a VAssistX which can take care of that, but it's annoying nonetheless and any real fix would be much appreciated :)

Here's the NewBehaviourScript.cs.txt on the left and a random script that's just been created on the right: alt text

A silly question, but is it possible that you have multiple installations of Unity and that the template file was overwritten during installation or you edited the file in the wrong installation?

Nope, that's not the reason ^^ That couldn't be, anyways, since the scripts do take the actual text of the edited template. The only difference being the line endings. Also, this happens on both my tower and my laptop

I see, then that's not the cause.
This forum thread is about the general inconsistent line ending, and multiple people recommend the Strip'em Add-in for Visual Studio.
Sorry if this info is not useful!
