Pixel-Precise Sprite Shader

Hi guys!

So I've been working on a 2D Platformer but recently I've stumbled over a problem when I tried to add lighting to my sprites.

Using the Sprite/Diffuse Shader I can get my lighting to work just fine however not exactly like I wanted it. It's more like the default 3D Shader.

After doing some research I also found the Legacy/Transparent/Cutout/Bumped Diffuse Shader which utilizes normal maps to create pixel lighting. This is exactly what I was looking for.

However to turn my character I set his X-Scale to -1 which results in the Bumped Diffuse Shader also inverting the sprite (Meaning its simply like the Sprite was rotated by 180 Degrees on the Y-Axis when I set the X-Scale to -1. This also means the sprite is invisible from the front when setting said Scale to -1). None of the combinations of rotation, scaling and flipping the sprite seem to work.

I simply want to mirror the sprite when going left instead of right. Is there any workaround or will I have to stick with the Sprite/Diffuse Shader or even write my own shader (if so please tell me how or link me to a tutorial since I have practically no knowledge about how to write my own shader).
