Is there an easier way to display Stat Values in RPGs?

I recently watched the 'Roll-A-Ball" tutorial for Unity, and I used what I learned from that to display some basic stat values for my monster.

The thing is that I don't exactly know how to display all the required values for a game like mine. I can only display the 'HP' value of the monster, when she'll need "HP, MP, DEF," and things like that.

Since I recycled and edited the code I wrote for the Roll a ball tutorial, there's huge sections of empty code here. I don't know how i'll use them yet, but I'm going to see if I can keep these here so I can have a place to reference my actual fighting code here.

Is there a better way for me to set this up?

 public Text VictoryText;
 public Text StatusText;

     HP = 100;
     SetStatusText ();
     VictoryText.text = "";
