Recommended store assets or solutions for simple navigation for a handful of vehicles

I have the need for a simple, light-weight, solution for allowing an/several NPC(s) to take vehicles from point A to point B or C, but also be able to traverse back or another waypoint later on (depending on external factors - read: what the player does).


My problem is that there some very basic, possibly one-way waypoint solutions (racing game-focused), or some extremely big city-scaled traffic solutions.


I need a solution more in the size of:


  • There is 3 villages, a few houses per village, an NPC that is walking around may decide to take a car to any neighbour in same or different village, and should get there without too much trouble by following the basic gravel road.

  • The player camera will be some 200 meters up, the exact angle of the vehicles wheels is not important, nor is IK of the driver needed.


I have just spent 4 hours looking at assets in the Unity Store and cannot find which one would would be fitting - either because the descriptions and videos are aiming for a different style of content or because the descriptions, images and video's are short in details about what the asset truly contains.


Budget is not the issue, finding something that fits is.


Any suggestions and help is welcome.
