Weird Image Flickering Behavior on UI Canvas When Using RT Material

Hello guys, i am having this problem with my runtime generated item preview in my inventory system i have created. The problem is that 60% of the time the viewport for my generated RT Texture flickers and bugs out. I have tried a multitude of different things such as:

  • Changing sort layers
  • Changing position of the image
  • Changing the position of the item preview rig to have null parent
  • Changing modes on the UI Canvas, tried making it in camera space but cant get my weapon camera to render correctly. (Weapon appears over inventory)
  • Disabling all other cameras except the one that the UI is displayed on

I have recorded a video to demonstrate the problems i am having. It works fine in the editor scene view without any form of distortion.

Any idea what is going on here?

I recomend you to use a raw image with a camera renderer where you instatiate a copy of th object, that shouldn’t make you any trouble
